CORRAINI
H5 is a graphic design and communication studio founded in 1993 by Ludovic Houplain. The work of the studio is built around its aesthetic radicalism and ability of deflecting common graphic codes. Brands and mass consumption are at the core of its main concerns and graphic design is the tool selected to convey strong ideas.
5th JULY 2018 is an editorial intervention, which forms part of this ongoing process. A re-transcription of the satellite heat map of 5th July 2018 seeks immediately to entice, whereas a very simple message echoes the posters War is Over by Yoko Ono and Hope by Shepard Fairey. “Hello Mr President, it’s global warming!” is announced subtly, as for tea time or guest arrival. The project calls on readers to question them about global warming. Every year the threat increases, without being a priority issue.
